Permit me … my love
The freedom to
Just
Be
Me
Allow my thoughts
Respect my mind
Take
Back
This
Box
And let me do me
Because
Your feet
DON’T
FIT
In these kicks
I
ROCK
So let me be me
Or
Be
The he
Who
Is
Without pers-onali-ty
To cast the first lot
You see
Your feet
DON’T
FIT
In these kicks
I
ROCK
So let me be me
Or
Cast
Your
Lot

Inspiration's Kiss
Inspiration is not easily quenched.
Once she sets her sights on you, it is very difficult to shake her thoughts which permeate one's creative soul as though through osmosis. So peristent is Inspiration that she could easily be likened to the beautiful yet painful process of giving birth.
Inspiration rests in the womb of Creativity waiting to be seeded by Effort and nurtured by Wisdom. There may be many hours, days, weeks and months of labor but, in due time, Creativity's womb brings forth the "life" resulting from a union between Inspiration and Effort.
Inspiration brings vitality.
Inspiration often has a one-track mind, not resting until her goals are met. Is she selfish? No, not in the least.
Inspiration knows that if she is not persistent, if she does not make herself one with Effort, if she does not allow herself to be fed by Wisdom; she will surely die. And who then will reap the benefits of having known her? Who will know what it is to be loved by her, to be changed by her, to be kissed by her frutiful lips?
No, she is not selfish. She is selfless. She is who she is for your sake.
Has Inspiration kissed your lips today? Ever?
Have you kissed her back?
